A slightly quicker way to get to the Task Manager is using another of those magic shortcuts namely Ctrl-Shift-Esc. Might not always work, then the ctrl-alt-del is next on the list of things to try.

Thanks for the TeamViewer instructions. I found them very helpful. Maybe a more detail post on installing the full version (not for commercial use).

Dear favorite blogger,

I need to know why my fiery front page of my website is splitting the screen into chunks. I would just like a a bit of help because I am a DIYer, and I'd rather learn than have someone do it for me.

The whole point of using the IFS to break up your echoed string in the background is that by default it uses the LF (unix line-feed) and space characters as the delimiters. Your best bet if you are determined to have spaces in your values is to change the characters the IFS uses, then delineate your values with something other than a space. That would mean doing something like this:
<code>
get_haxlog_types2() {
    echo "First Value|Second Value|Third Value"
}
IFS_OLD=${IFS}
IFS="|"
logTypes=(`get_haxlog_types2`)
echo ${logTypes[1]}
IFS=${IFS_OLD}
</code>
What you are doing here is reassigning the old IFS values to a temporary variable and setting the IFS to the pipe, making the pipe your delimiter. Then you run the function and save the output to a variable, and finally set the IFS back so the rest of your code acts normally.
It's a kludge , but bash is a scripting language and was never meant to be used for anything resembling an application.

This doesn't seem to handle spaces in array values properly. I've tried all sorts of quoting contortions to try to get this to work, but still no dice. Any ideas?
